Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Plant Mechanic in Metairie, LA to maintain and repair plant equipment, perform inspections, and complete daily/weekly department reporting. The role emphasizes safety and adherence to company policies while supporting production and emergency repairs as needed.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years in heavy industry mechanical work, welding skills, and basic computer proficiency to operate relevant software and log

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of mechanical repair, installation, and construction experience in heavy industry.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems; able to use welding and machining equipment.
• Lock-Out/Tag-Out experience.
• Welding experience.
• Experience working in confined spaces.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn company software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair plant equipment; report conditions to Area Manager.
• Perform planned maintenance and respond to emergencies to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to safety, environmental and company policies; complete required paperwork.
