Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Louisiana to maintain plant equipment and perform preventative maintenance to keep production ready. You will inspect equipment, prepare daily/weekly reports, and address safety concerns while coordinating with the Area Manager.

The role requires at least two years in heavy industry mechanical work, with welding experience and the ability to work in confined spaces. A strong safety mindset and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in mechanical repair, installation, and construction in heavy industry.
• Knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems; able to operate welding and machining equipment.
• Welding experience is required.
• Experience working in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Inspect condition and operation of plant and mobile equipment; perform repairs, adjustments and preventative maintenance.
• Complete work orders; install, repair and fabricate metal parts; ensure item availability and safety.
• Prepare and weld steel and aluminum structures and equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections; report findings to Area Manager.
• Assist teammates as needed to support activities.
• Respond to emergencies to resolve safety concerns.
• Perform emergency repairs to production equipment when needed.
• Maintain shop, tools and vehicles to ensure availability and safety.
• Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies.
