Job summary

VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA TEXAS in Dallas is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform building repairs and routine maintenance across properties.

You will handle electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks, complete work orders, and drive to job sites in a company vehicle.

High school diploma or trade certificate and a Texas driver's license are required; opportunities for career growth and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant maintenance experience.
• Or a high school diploma plus a maintenance trade certificate.
• Valid Texas Driver's License and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor repairs to electrical systems inside and outside of units (breakers, outlets, switches, disposals, lighting, etc.).
• Performs repairs to structure (carpentry, doors, exterior repairs, some tile, interior patches).
• Performs interior and exterior painting (prep, drywall, siding, wood staining).
• Performs plumbing repairs (faucets, supply lines, toilets).
• Completes all forms and work orders in a timely, professional manner.
