Job summary

Volunteers of America-Texas is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Worker to support the day-to-day upkeep of our properties in Fort Worth, TX. You will diagnose and repair maintenance issues, install equipment, and manage inventory to ensure safe, reliable facilities.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent plus six years of relevant experience.
• Valid Texas Driver's License, clear MVR, and ability to be insured.

Responsibilities

• Assists in development and maintenance of systems for facility reporting of maintenance problems.
• Evaluates electrical, plumbing, structural, equipment and other maintenance issues and completes repairs or maintenance within skill level, using contractors for work beyond scope.
• Builds or modifies interior walls or other structures.
• Installs equipment as directed and moves furniture/fixtures as required.
• Orders and maintains a tool and repair part inventory.
• Establishes a preventative maintenance program for facilities and conducts preventive maintenance on structures and equipment.
