Placements24 is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our client in Upington, Northern Cape. The role focuses on keeping production machinery and equipment in optimal condition to minimize downtime and support plant productivity.

You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, perform preventive maintenance, and contribute to safety and housekeeping standards in the facility. The position requires 3+ years of relevant experience and willingness to work shifts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Commitment to safety procedures and regulations in a plant.
• Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergency call-outs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and schematics for maintenance tasks.
• Maintain logs of all maintenance activities and repairs.
