Job Description

Performs general or specialized maintenance and repairs in a multifamily residential setting. Applies proficient skills in all maintenance trades (Generalist), or expert level skills in at least two maintenance trades (Specialist), and operates building systems and related equipment and tools to complete tasks to resident's satisfaction.

Location

Park Towne Premier Apartment Homes, Museum District neighborhood, Philadelphia, PA.

What You’ll Do

• With minimal guidance, troubleshoot and perform maintenance and repairs on various building systems and appliances, including HVAC, plumbing, structural, and electrical systems.
• Complete resident-requested repairs and preventive maintenance professionally and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with residents and team members regarding work performed and upcoming tasks.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and safe work practices, including Lockout Tagout, Electrical Safety, Confined Space Entry, and use of PPE.
• Perform independent tasks such as troubleshooting, repairing, or replacing HVAC equipment, plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures, and other interior and exterior surfaces, appliances, drywall, cabinetry, landscaping, and pool equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Seek educational opportunities for personal growth and development.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience and/or trade school graduate.
• Intermediate understanding of five or more trades (Generalist) or advanced understanding of two or more trades (Specialist): HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Painting, Appliance Repair, Carpentry, Landscaping, Pool Operation.
• Safe use of standard or specialized tools depending on trade level.
• Willingness to learn and assist mechanics as needed.
• Basic knowledge of maintaining and troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.

Additional Information

Union rate: $20.90/hour.

Benefits are based on Collective Bargaining Agreement standards.
