State of Indiana is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a full‑service maintenance team at Plainfield facilities. The role covers plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and grounds, with steady hours Monday–Friday and growth into supervisory roles.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and painting trades.
• Ability to plan, schedule, and supervise job sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints and remediation plans.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, MSDS, and safety practices.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to delegate work and manage workflow.
• Ability to mentor and develop employee skillsets.
• Endurance of inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Solicit cost estimates or cost proposals.
• Estimate costs and work hours for maintenance projects.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and repairs of facilities.
• Maintain accountability of materials, tools, equipment, and vehicles.
• Ensure safety compliance for self and assigned personnel.
• Recruit, onboard, and train employees to ensure role responsibilities.
• Set expectations, measure progress, provide feedback, and evaluate performance.
• Workday attendance at assigned worksites.
