Job summary

AIR Communities in Washington, DC is seeking aMaintenance Technician to service residents and keep apartment homes in top condition. You’ll perform turns and routine maintenance, using modern tools to resolve issues quickly.

This role requires at least 2 years of maintenance experience, proficiency in two trades, and a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. On-site housing options and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of maintenance experience in facilities or building environments.
• Proficient in two or more technical trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, etc.).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to residents and team members.
• Complete basic apartment turns to prep units for new move-ins.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances).
• May train other Maintenance Technicians and assist skill development.
• Assist with vendor management and move-in/move-out inspections as needed.
• Responsibilities vary by team needs and season.
