Enterprise Community Partners is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Washington, DC to ensure safe, attractive living environments for residents. You will handle resident service requests, routine and emergency maintenance, and apartment turnovers with a focus on quality and timely response.

The role requires carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and tool proficiency, plus strong English communication, reliability, and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, equipment repair, and painting skills.
• EPA 608 Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Strong English communication and reading skills.
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation and on-call readiness.

Responsibilities

• Takes care of resident service requests promptly and accurately.
• Performs routine, preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance across properties.
• Assists with apartment turnovers, renovations, painting, and cleaning.
• Maintains safety, cleanliness, and proper logs.
• Provides guidance to Apprentices & Porters.
• Responds to emergencies in a timely manner and participates in training.
• Assists with landscaping and snow removal as needed.
