Job summary

StoneRidge in Mystic, CT is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the physical plant and support facilities. You will assist with routine servicing, building upgrades, and seasonal repairs under supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and comfort with tablets/work orders. Benefit's package includes paid holidays, PTO, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school education (Diploma or GED) is required
• Valid Driver License with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report is required
• Familiarity with tablets, computers, and electronic work order system
• Technical Schooling in carpentry, construction and/or background is preferred
• Employment history involving 2+ years of facility maintenance or related trade-work preferred in health care or retirement community
• Painting and sheetrock experience preferred
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic is required
• OSHA 10 Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance duties such as replacing plumbing fixtures, appliance repairs, moving furniture, painting, general residential repairs
• Performs general carpentry duties
• Performs routine preventive maintenance, as directed by supervisor
• Performs minor building and equipment repairs
• Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor
• Cover security shifts as needed
• Assists with snow removal efforts during winter months
• Utilize low speed vehicles to transport self, equipment and debris across the community grounds when needed
