Job summary

Fairgrove Property Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep rental properties in excellent condition, across San Diego area. The role requires hands-on maintenance, customer focus, and tech proficiency.

You will service multiple properties and support the company’s mission of quality housing with strong service. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in property management or related fields, is tech-savvy, and can manage multiple work orders efficiently.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in property management or related field with customer service experience.
• Strong knowledge of computers and technology including cloud-based software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
• Great communication skills.
• Organized and able to manage work orders for multiple priorities.
• Honest, trustworthy & accountable.
• Clean driving record with valid driver’s license.
• Dependable transportation.
• Provide own tools to complete work orders.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on properties and units.
• Repair or replace floors, ceilings, walls, and doors as needed.
• Maintain accurate daily maintenance records and action items.
• Interact with vendors and suppliers professionally.
• Provide exceptional service to the team and residents.
• Turnover make-ready tasks for vacant units.
• Assist in preparing units for new move-ins.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.

A Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the rental properties in excellent condition, both inside and out. The ideal candidate would be self‑motivated, highly customer focused, technically skilled, fast moving, and technologically proficient. This position services multiple properties.

Essential Job Functions – Position Requirements

• Troubleshoot, assess, repair, and replace HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances
• Conduct preventative maintenance on the properties or within the units
• Repair or replace floors, ceilings, walls, siding, doors, door hardware, windows, window screens, and other general building items
• Maintain accurate record of daily maintenance records and action items
• Interact with vendors and suppliers in a professional manner
• Provide exceptional customer service to the team and residents
• Support Fairgrove Property Management's mission and values
• Communicate in a timely and effective manner
• Complete emergency and routine service requests
• Turnover make‑ready tasks
• Assist in the preparation of vacant units for new move‑ins.
• Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash as needed.
• Utilize computer, tablet and smart phone software and applications
• Perform other tasks as requested
• After hours emergency response as needed

• 3+ years of experience in property management or a related field, with customer service experience
