Job summary

Fairgrove Property Management, Irvine, CA, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service rental properties across the Inland Empire. This full-time role requires self-motivation, strong customer focus, and technical skills to keep units in excellent condition.

You will troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances; perform preventative maintenance; manage work orders; and coordinate with vendors. Valid driver's license, own tools, and a reliable attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in property management or a related field, with customer service experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and cloud-based software.
• Great communication skills and organized to manage multiple work orders.
• Clean driving record with a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• Honest, trustworthy & accountable.
• Provide own tools to complete work orders.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, assess, repair, and replace HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on the properties or within the units.
• Repair or replace floors, ceilings, walls, siding, doors, door hardware, windows, and other building items.
• Maintain accurate records of daily maintenance and action items.
• Interact with vendors and suppliers in a professional manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service to the team and residents.
• After hours emergency response as needed.
• Turnover make ready tasks and assist in preparing vacant units for move-ins.

A Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the rental properties in excellent condition, both inside and out. The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, highly customer focused, technically skilled, fast moving, and technologically proficient. This position services multiple properties.

Essential Job Functions – Position Requirements:

• Troubleshoot, assess, repair, and replace HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances
• Conduct preventative maintenance on the properties or within the units
• Repair or replace floors, ceilings, walls, siding, doors, door hardware, windows, window screens, and other general building items
• Maintain accurate record of daily maintenance records and action items
• Interact with vendors and suppliers in a professional manner
• Provide exceptional customer service to the team and residents
• Support Fairgrove Property Management's mission and values
• Communicate in a timely and effective manner
• Complete emergency and routine service requests
• Turnover make ready tasks
• Assist in the preparation of vacant units for new move-ins.
• Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash as needed.
• Utilize computer, tablet and smart phone software and applications
• Perform other tasks as requested
• After hours emergency response as needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in property management or a related field, with customer service experience
• Strong knowledge of computers and technology including cloud-based software and applications
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
• Great communication skills
• Organized and able to manage work orders for multiple priorities
