Job summary

The RMR Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Maintenance Supervisor in keeping the property safe, secure, and comfortable for residents, visitors, and staff in Florida. You will perform preventative maintenance, conduct minor repairs, and assist with make-ready tasks while adhering to all regulations and company policies.

You must have a high school diploma (or GED) with 2+ years in maintenance/property management, EPA Universal Certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years’ maintenance property management experience.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• CPO Certification preferred.
• Ability to earn future designations as required by industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining safety in accordance with company policies and regulations.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as directed by supervisor and property manager.
• Inspect utility meters, locks, and make-ready repairs as needed.
• Diagnose and perform minor repairs in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, lighting, doors/windows, roofing, and related areas.
• Coordinate make-ready repairs and assist make-ready staff to meet deadlines.
• Report major repairs and requisitions to Maintenance Supervisor before expenditures.
• Assist in moving heavy appliances and equipment and manage on-call tasks as required.
