Job summary

Greystar in the St. Louis, MO area is seeking a maintenance technician to perform technical and mechanical work to ensure the physical aspects of the buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the Company’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality.

The role handles work orders from resident requests, makes-ready processes for vacant units, inventories materials, documents tasks, and maintains grounds and amenities.

Qualifications

• Incumbents must have EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Incumbents must have all certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Incumbents must have valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property depending on the property size, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing by inspection, punch list, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, and inspecting work.
• Tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation to track service requests accurately.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing, painting curbs and signage.
• Supports cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts and using tools properly.
