Job summary

RangeWater is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Madison, AL property. You will perform essential maintenance on building systems, sometimes diagnosing issues, completing work orders, and ensuring common areas meet safety and appearance standards.

The role supports a make-ready process for vacant units, conducts inspections, and coordinates with vendors as needed. A valid driver's license is required along with EPA refrigerant certifications and 1–3 years of apartment maintenance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 years of apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• EPA certifications Type I & II or Universal for refrigerants required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in variable weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair building systems and respond to service requests within 24–48 hours.
• Perform make-ready tasks and prep vacant units for leasing, including punch lists and inspections.
• Assist in cost-control by repairing parts rather than replacing when feasible.
• Track inventory and return unused items; notify supervisor when re-ordering needed.
• Attend safety meetings and follow OSHA and company safety guidelines.
