Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical aspects of garden-style property Avant at Steele Creek in Charlotte, NC. You will diagnose defects, repair systems, complete make-readies, and manage inventory while working with vendors and property teams to maintain safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, maintaining grounds, documenting tasks, and supporting cost-control measures.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications Type I/II or Universal are required for Certified Service Technicians.
• All state and local jurisdiction certifications must be maintained.
• Driver’s license is required to operate a golf cart on property when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and obtaining supplies.
• Manages materials and inventory, tracks usage, and notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Dockets and documents service requests accurately to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, cleans, pressure-washes areas, and paints curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost-saving by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.

Education

EPA refrigerant certifications Type I/II or Universal

State and Local certifications required
