Job summary

Greif in Dayton, Ohio, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help sustain reliable operation of our machinery and systems. You'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic issues, read manuals and drawings, and adhere to safety and Lean manufacturing programs.

The role requires 1–2 years of relevant experience and a high school diploma, with opportunities to grow in a global packaging leader.

Qualifications

• Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Maintains machinery by performing preventive maintenance and service.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Reads and interprets manuals, diagrams, sketches, engineering specifications, and work orders.
• Uses hand tools and measuring instruments to verify dimensional changes.
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices using hand and power tools.
• Adheres to all plant safety policies and participates in Lean Manufacturing programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
