Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to primarily maintain the property’s buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas to meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role includes handling work orders, preventative maintenance, and making-ready tasks for vacant units, with on-call and weekend requirements.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of maintenance experience (Prior electrical experience and HVAC certified preferred).
• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling required for certified technicians.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and performs preventative maintenance.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing and move-ins, including inspections and scheduling.
• Manages materials and inventory, returning unused items and notifying supervisor when re-orders are needed.
• Documents service requests accurately for tracking and reporting.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, including cleaning and minor repairs; paints curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible and using tools efficiently.
