Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings and common areas meet safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include completing work orders, making-ready tasks for vacant units, inventory and material management, documentation, and site maintenance.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications (Type 1/II or Universal) and a valid driver's license for golf-cart operation on properties.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs according to policies and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and obtaining supplies.
• Follows procedures to access materials from maintenance, tracks inventory, and notifies when re-orders are needed.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting, and debris removal.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing parts when possible and using tools efficiently.
