Job summary

Urban Land Interests, Inc. seeks a General Maintenance Technician to upkeep properties and equipment in downtown Madison. You will repair, inspect, and maintain facilities, work with tenants and vendors, and support capital projects.

Strong communication, safety awareness, and multitasking abilities are essential for this on-site role. Base pay ranges from $27 to $32 per hour with an annual bonus and comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

3 years of experience in facility maintenance, construction or skilled trade.
High school diploma or GED with industrial maintenance coursework.
Proven communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of safety rules and regulations and building maintenance practices.
Ability to work in high places, climb ladders, and in inclement weather.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair ULI properties and equipment.
Investigate problems, develop solutions, and plan work with tenants, vendors, and staff.
Maintain professional courteous manner with tenants, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
Complete preventative maintenance tasks and equipment checks.
Participate in on-call rotation for emergencies.
Install major mechanical and facility equipment.
Monitor and maintain building systems.
Keep records for payroll, work requests, and preventative maintenance system.
