Job summary

Maintenance Technician at Highland Woods in Highland Springs, VA, is a full-time on-site role performing make-ready repairs on vacant units with HVAC and other trades. The position includes 24-hour on-call duties and collaboration with the Service Manager and other staff.

Candidates should have plumbing, electrical, carpentry skills, and OSHA knowledge. A CFC certificate is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required. On-site work includes physically demanding tasks and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical skills are desirable.
• Knowledge of SDS and OSHA standards.
• High school diploma or GED; or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs to make-ready units in a timely manner.
• Be on 24 hour on-call as scheduled by the Service Manager.
• Assist maintenance, housekeeping, grounds and inventory control as needed.
• Inspect property for improvements and review with the Service Manager.
• Maintain a clean maintenance shop and adhere to safety policies.
• Have reliable transportation and be on-call as required.
