Job summary

The Mark in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform make-ready repairs on vacant units and support the on-going maintenance of the property. The role requires readiness to respond to after-hours paging and to assist with inventory, groundskeeping, and monthly maintenance tasks.

HVAC certification is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required along with a basic willingness to learn and work with a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Plumbing, electrical, carpentry skills.
• Knowledge of SDS and OSHA.
• 608 Refrigerant Certification preferred, but not required; will train if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs to make-ready units in a timely manner.
• Be on-call 24 hours as scheduled; respond to paging.
• Assist the Service Manager or Housekeeper with their work.
• Assist Grounds with trashing out units; assist with inventory control and maintenance supplies.
• Inspect property for improvements and repairs with the Service Manager.
• Maintain grounds free of litter; follow maintenance policies.
• On-call rotation after hours; maintain professional appearance and team spirit.
