Job summary

The Mark, Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a Maintenance/Service Technician for regular full-time work. The role involves make-ready repairs to vacant units, on-call duties, and coordination with the Service Manager and other staff to keep properties in top condition.

HVAC certification is preferred, and candidates should have plumbing, electrical, or carpentry skills. A valid driver’s license and safety knowledge are required for all duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience.
• HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical skills are required.
• OSHA and SDS familiarity is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform make-ready repairs to vacant units in a timely manner.
• Provide 24-hour on-call support as scheduled by the Service Manager.
• Assist the Service Manager, Housekeeper, Grounds, and other staff as needed.
• Inspect units for improvements and repairs and review with the Service Manager.
• Maintain the maintenance shop in good order and keep environments safe.
• Operate and perform scheduled maintenance on all equipment and Know cut-offs and sewer access points.
• Be able to transfer to another property if required and demonstrate team spirit.
