Job summary

Greystar is hiring a Service Technician to maintain the property's buildings, grounds, and common areas. This role involves routine and preventive maintenance, making-ready tasks for vacant units, inventory management, and documentation of all service requests to meet Greystar's standards for safety and function.

The position requires EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant certifications, state/local licenses as needed, and a valid driver's license for golf-cart operation on-site.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling required.
• State and Local jurisdiction certifications as required for all Service Technicians.
• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairs per policy and safety standards.
• Performs make-ready tasks to prepare vacant units for leasing, including inspections and scheduling trades.
• Obtains materials and tools from maintenance, tracks inventory, and notifies supervisor for re-orders.
• Documents work performed to ensure requests are properly recorded and tracked.
• Maintains grounds, common areas and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs, and pressure-washing as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing parts and using resources efficiently.
