Independent Management Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our property management teams across growing affordable communities. You will handle resident service requests, perform preventive maintenance, and keep units and grounds in top condition.

Qualifications

• Customer service oriented with good communication skills.
• Basic maintenance concepts and ability to perform repairs.
• Own tools to complete tasks and basic grounds care knowledge.
• Ability to prioritize work orders and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Timely reconditioning of vacant units, including painting, basic repairs, and cleaning.
• Ensure property grounds are well-groomed and free of litter and clutter.
• Perform after-hours, weekend, and holiday on-call duties in rotation.
• Respond to all resident requests to ensure 24-hour emergency service.
• Monitor inventory and maintenance supplies as necessary.
• Snow removal includes salting main roads, walkways, and parking areas.
• Create and maintain a well-groomed community appearance.
• Reports directly to the Site Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor.
• Participate in ongoing maintenance education and training.
