Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician in Oakland to perform routine and preventive maintenance across a stabilized community. You will handle work orders, complete make-readies for new residents, and assist with inventory control while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role requires 1–2 years of maintenance experience, EPA refrigerant certification, and a valid driver’s license. On-site work with potential on-call hours and opportunities for bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years maintenance experience.
• EPA refrigerant certification Type 1 & II or Universal.
• Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders from resident requests and performs preventative maintenance.
• Prepares vacants by conducting pre-move inspections and coordinating punch lists with vendors.
• Accesses materials and tracks inventory, ensuring proper reordering.
• Document all service activities accurately for tracking and reporting.
• Assist in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities (cleaning, painting, debris removal).
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
