Job summary

Greystar in Oakland is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring the property's buildings, grounds and amenities meet safety and quality standards. The role focuses on maintenance, preventive repairs, and on-site support for residents and operations.

You will handle work orders, make-ready tasks, inventory control, and documentation, with on-call duties including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant recycling certifications (Type 1 and II or Universal) required.
• State and Local jurisdiction certifications required for all technicians.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance per policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections and punch lists.
• Tracks materials, supplies, and tools from the maintenance department and notifies on re-ordering needs.
• Documents service requests to ensure accurate, timely tracking.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities, including cleaning, painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by repairing instead of replacing parts when possible.

Education

EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling

State and Local jurisdiction certifications (as required)
