Job summary

Gorman & Company, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Villas on McQueen in Chandler, AZ—a brand-new 157-unit affordable housing community. You’ll perform maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances to keep the property safe and welcoming for residents.

Qualified candidates have at least two years of maintenance experience, strong knowledge of plumbing/electrical/HVAC, a valid driver's license, and EPA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of previous experience in property management maintenance, building maintenance, or related trade.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurability requirements.
• HVAC-EPA (Type II), or EPA Universal preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily maintenance and repairs for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
• Maintain exterior of the property along with tackling seasonal prep such as fall cleanup.
• Perform daily property walks to keep everything clean, safe, and looking sharp.
• Respond promptly to routine and emergency maintenance requests when assigned.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents using make-ready checklists.
• Inspect buildings and grounds to maintain safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal.
• Maintain common areas, exterior spaces, and grounds.
• Communicate with vendors, contractors, co-workers and residents.
