Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking a thorough Handyman for Polyclinic Apartments, a 151-unit property in New York, NY. The role requires repairing appliances, carpentry, basic electrical/plumbing work, and keeping common areas well-maintained with on-call availability for emergencies.

The position is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with union benefits and compensation. A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience and strong customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• General custodial skills and property maintenance exposure.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC.
• Ability to follow a strict routine maintenance schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs across appliances, carpentry, hardware, masonry, painting, and basic electrical/plumbing/HVAC.
• Complete service requests and repairs per company procedures.
• Prepare vacant apartments to market-ready status per standards.
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal including snow removal and trash management.
• Be available for on-call emergencies based on schedule and need.
