Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to work with minimal supervision to keep metal-processing equipment running reliably. You will clean, lubricate, troubleshoot, and repair machinery including slitters, welders, conveyors, and palletizers while maintaining pipe systems and hydraulic/pneumatic lines.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years in metal manufacturing maintenance, and PLC/welding/tool experience.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
Minimum 2 years as a maintenance mechanic in metal manufacturing.
GMP ISO9001 standards knowledge for metals manufacturing.
PLC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Troubleshoot/repair machinery such as slitters, collectors, high speed welders, conveyors, and palletizers.
Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment.
Building maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep.
Repair and assess electrical issues as they arise.
Able to familiarize with CMMS system and log labor/parts per expectations.
Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and off-shifts as required.
Participate in on-call program and may work additional hours on off shift.
Understand quality, PPE requirements, safety and compliance with safety policies.
