Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions in Charlotte, NC is seeking a maintenance mechanic to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on metal manufacturing equipment, with minimal supervision.

You will troubleshoot and repair equipment such as slitters, welders, conveyors, and palletizers, and install hydraulic and pneumatic systems. This role requires a high school diploma and 2+ years of experience, with overtime and on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical degree in maintenance-related field preferred.
• 2+ years minimum experience as a maintenance mechanic in metal manufacturing environment; troubleshooting experience a plus.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice ISO9001 standards for metals manufacturing.
• PLC experience preferred.
• Experience with and ability to use all types of welding, cutting, machine, and hand tools preferred.
• Experience in high speed packaging, welding, and mechanical power transmission preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with little to no supervision.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Troubleshoot/repair machinery such as slitters, collectors, high speed welders, conveyors, and palletizers.
• Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment.
• Building maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep.
• Repair and assess electrical issues as they arise.
• Familiarize yourself with CMMS system and log labor/parts accordingly.
• Willing to work overtime, including weekends and off-shifts as required, and participate in on-call program.
