Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions in Bryan, TX seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to support high-speed packaging lines, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining slitters, conveyors, welders, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems while keeping CMMS logs current.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, adherence to ISO9001 quality standards, and flexibility to work overtime and participate in on-call shifts. Prior metal manufacturing maintenance experience and PLC familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree in maintenance-related field preferred.
• 2 years minimum experience as a maintenance mechanic in a metal manufacturing environment; troubleshooting preferred.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice ISO9001 standards for metals manufacturing.
• PLC experience preferred.
• Experience with and ability to use welding, cutting, machine, and hand tools preferred.
• Experience in high-speed packaging, welding, and mechanical power transmission preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Troubleshoot/repair machinery such as slitters, collectors, high-speed welders, conveyors, and palletizers.
• Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment.
• Building maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep.
• Repair and assess electrical issues as they arise.
• Familiarize yourself with CMMS system and log labor/parts accordingly.
• Work overtime, including weekends and off-shifts; participate in on-call program.
