Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a maintenance mechanic to support our metal manufacturing operations in a role requiring hands-on mechanical, electrical and welding tasks. You will work with little supervision to keep heavy equipment, conveyors and packaging lines running smoothly.

The position emphasizes safety, compliance with PPE policies, and the use of CMMS to log labor and parts. Overtime and on-call participation are part of the job; prior PLC and welding experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum maintenance mechanic experience in metal manufacturing
• Technical degree in maintenance-related field preferred
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice ISO9001 standards for metals manufacturing
• PLC experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Work with little to no supervision
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
• Troubleshoot/repair machinery such as slitters, collectors, high speed welders, conveyors, and palletizers
• Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
• Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment
• Building maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep
• Repair and assess electrical issues as they arise
• Familiarize yourself with CMMS system and log labor/parts
• Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends and off-shifts
• Must participate in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours on off shift
• Understand quality, PPE requirements, safety, and compliance with safety policies
