Job summary

National Vision Holdings, Inc. is seeking Maintenance Technicians to service and maintain lab equipment in Plano, TX. The role emphasizes performing preventative maintenance, handling work orders, and supporting installations and repairs to minimize downtime.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience and be able to read and write English. Manufacturing experience is preferred, optical industry knowledge is a plus, and a competitive benefits package is offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform Preventative Maintenance on all equipment and maintain PM checklists.
• Process work orders to resolve machine issues and minimize downtime.
• Service Edgers, Generators and Blockers; perform cleaning, part changes, checks and calibration.
• Identify issues and perform repairs; assist with installations and servicing of other lab equipment.
• Follow safety procedures including Lock out/Tag out and use PPE as required.

Job description

Maintenance Technicians are responsible for servicing and maintaining equipment located in the lab.

Principal duties and responsibilities include:

• Performing Preventative Maintenance on all equipment, maintaining PM checklists
• Handling work orders to resolve machine issues and minimize production down time
• Servicing and maintaining Edgers, Generators and Blockers
• Cleaning, changing parts, performing checks, calibrating
• Identifying issues and performing repairs
• Assisting with installations, fabrications, servicing of other equipment and systems in the lab
• Following all safety measures, "Lock out / Tag out" procedures and utilizing PPE if required

No specific education required

1-3 years previous experience in industrial maintenance (electro/mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulics, servo drives, HVAC, etc.) preferred

Experience in manufacturing desired, optical industry knowledge a plus but not required

Must be able to read and write English
