Job summary

National Vision Holdings, Inc. is seeking a production supervisor to oversee daily operations in our optical production labs. You will lead production teams, ensure goals are met, and maintain a safe, efficient workflow across departments.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to read and write English. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities to develop staff.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of directly related supervisory experience.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Beginner to intermediate MS Office knowledge (Word and Excel).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily functions of production departments to meet goals.
• Manage workflow and staff utilization to maximize efficiency.
• Ensure timely processing of older jobs and minimize breakages.
• Conduct root cause analyses to prevent production disruption.
• Train lead associates and cross-train staff across stations.
• Perform recruiting, performance reviews, attendance, scheduling.
• Implement SOPs and enforce company policies.

Job description

General Summary :

Responsible for supervising the daily functions of production departments including meeting production goals, daily goals, hiring and development of staff, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for associates.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages Jobs per Hour in production departments
• Supervises activities in assigned department(s), ensuring work flow and proper utilization of associates
• Ensures older jobs are processed in a timely manner
• Resolves breakage issues to keep breakages low
• Conducts root cause analysis to timely identify issues and minimize disruption to production levels
• Process and review daily reports
• Manages lens and frame inventory as required
• Works to ensure other departments within the lab maintain a steady work flow and works with other department supervisors and production manager to resolve interdepartmental issues
• Trains lead associates, oversees associate training and cross trains associates to effectively perform at multiple stations within the department
• Performs administrative functions including Interviewing and selecting associates, reviewing associate performance, addressing issues, monitoring attendance, scheduling work and vacation time
• Implements SOPs, department policies and procedures; enforces all Company Policies and Procedures

Requirements:

• No specific education level required
• Must demonstrate 3 to 5 years directly related experience
• Prior supervisory experience is required
• Beginner to intermediate knowledge of MS Office including word and excel
• Must be able to read and write English
