Job summary

National Vision Holdings, Inc. is seeking Maintenance Technicians to service equipment in the optical lab. The role involves preventative maintenance, repairs, and servicing of Edgers, Generators and Blockers.

2nd shift schedules run Sundays–Tuesdays or Wed–Fri with 3:30 pm to 4:00 am hours, offering a robust benefits package and bonus opportunities. Qualified candidates have 1–3 years in industrial maintenance (electro/mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulics, HVAC) and must read and write English.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, diagnosis and repair (electro/mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulics, servo drives, HVAC).
• Must be able to read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment in the optical lab.
• Handle work orders to resolve machine issues and minimize downtime.
• Service and maintain edgers, generators and blockers.
• Clean, replace parts, calibrate and test equipment.
• Identify issues and perform repairs.
• Assist with installations and servicing of lab equipment.

Schedules

Our FT 2nd shift positions work 3 days/week with 4 days off. Perfect for those wanting to restructure non-work hours or minimize commutes. Maintenance Tech hours may vary slightly but core shift hours are:

• Shift 2A: Sundays through Tuesdays (3:30 pm - 4:00 am)
• Shift 2B: Wednesdays through Fridays (3:30 pm - 4:00 am)

Pay & extras

Competitive base pay (DOE) PLUS 10% shift differential AND extra bi-weekly bonus opportunities. We also have a generous PTO plan and numerous benefits.

Job Description

Maintenance Technicians are responsible for servicing and maintaining equipment located in the optical lab.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities Include

• Performing Preventative Maintenance on all equipment, maintaining PM checklists
• Handling work orders to resolve machine issues and minimize production down time
• Servicing and maintaining Edgers, Generators and Blockers
• Cleaning, changing parts, performing checks, calibrating
• Identifying issues and performing repairs
• Assisting with installations, fabrications, servicing of other equipment and systems in the lab
• Following all safety measures, Lock out / Tag out procedures and utilizing PPE if required

Qualifications

• No specific education required
• 1-3 years previous experience in industrial maintenance, diagnosis and repair (electro/mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulics, servo drives, HVAC, etc.)
• Experience in manufacturing desired, optical industry knowledge a plus but not required
• Must be able to read and write English
