Job summary

Island Square, Mercer Island, WA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician. The role focuses on maintaining building systems, grounds, and common areas to meet Greystar standards for safety and appearance.

You will handle resident service requests, perform repairs, and assist with make-ready duties for new move-ins. You should be knowledgeable with hand/power tools, plumbing, painting, and basic carpentry.

Qualifications

• Experience with painting, basic carpentry, appliance repair and plumbing are preferred.
• Strong reading/writing and communication skills needed.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and general professional behavior required.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests and repairs in a timely manner, including appliance repairs.
• Prepare apartments for new move-ins by completing make-ready tasks.
• Assist with vendor management and routine maintenance inspections.
• Maintain exterior cleaning and common areas; perform painting of curbs and signage.
• Follow safety procedures and documentation standards for all work orders.
• Support cost-control by repairing parts rather than replacing when feasible.
