Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Baton Rouge, LA to ensure the physical aspects of the property meet Greystar standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will perform work orders, preventive maintenance, and the make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications (Type 1/II or Universal), a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience performing maintenance requests and preventative maintenance.
• Ability to complete the make-ready process for vacant units.
• EPA Type 1/II or Universal refrigerant certification required.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
• Prepares vacant apartments for leasing and new move-ins; coordinates inspections and punch lists.
• Manages materials and inventory; returns unused items and notifies supervisor for re-ordering.
• Documents and tracks service requests accurately.
• Maintains grounds and common areas; cleans and paints as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing parts rather than replacing them when feasible.
