Job summary

YES Communities in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the community safe, organized, and well-maintained. You will assist residents, handle service requests, and support the upkeep of community assets and grounds.

This role requires a valid in-state driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a focus on safety, teamwork, and timely completion of tasks. HVAC, electrical or plumbing experience is a plus; OSHA trainings are advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid in-state driver’s license required.
• Experience in home refurbishment or make-ready preferred.
• OSHA trainings or certifications a plus.
• HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain rental inventory through preventive maintenance, work orders, and home refurb lifecycles.
• Keep community grounds, common areas, and vacant lots clean and debris-free.
• Complete work timely while upholding safety standards.
• Respond to after-hours emergency calls per on-call schedule.
• Read water meters, identify leaks, and address issues as applicable.
• Organize maintenance facilities, tools, and equipment.
• Support new home delivery/set-up and report warranty work to management.
• Deliver notices as requested by management.
