Job summary

Proto Plastics is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to investigate machine failures, execute preventative maintenance, and perform repairs on injection molding systems and automation cells in Tipp City, Ohio. The role involves mechanical, electrical, hydraulic work and robotics maintenance, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and process continuity.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and 2–5 years’ related experience, plus familiarity with automation, robotics, and ERP

Qualifications

High School diploma required; technical school certificate preferred.
2–5 years of related maintenance experience.
Proficient with facilities, injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment maintenance, electronics and robotics repair.
General understanding of injection molding processes and support equipment functionality.

Responsibilities

Inspect machines to locate causes of malfunctions and perform root-cause analysis.
Deploy preventive maintenance and repairs to improve equipment performance.
Dismantle and access problem areas in machines and tooling.
Replace worn or defective parts of drive systems and hydraulics.
Test equipment after repair to verify reliability and minimize downtime.
Conduct safety inspections and document findings; uphold safety regulations.
Provide training and mentorship to other technicians as needed.
