Job summary

Summit Polymers, located in Kentucky, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair equipment across hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems within an injection molding manufacturing facility. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a journeyman card preferred, and a minimum of 2 years of related manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Journeyman card preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding Electrical, Hydraulic and/or Mechanical systems.
• Experience with troubleshooting and repairing Electrical, Hydraulic and Mechanical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mentoring and Monitoring Apprentice
• Correcting safety issues involving equipment and facilities
• Performing preventative maintenance on equipment on systems such as injection molding machines, paint lines and process water systems
• Using Knowledge gained through education and experience to troubleshoot and perform problem solving equipment throughout the manufacturing facility leading to root cause corrective actions and repairs.
• Installing, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, electrical and mechanical equipment
