Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech II to join our team. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems and components.

The role includes on-the-job training with a Monday–Friday schedule and periodic overtime for nights/weekends. Responsibilities include troubleshooting PLCs, following blueprints, performing boiler and wastewater testing, and conducting safety checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• Lockout/Tagout experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics required.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision tools.
• Assist maintenance staff with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
• Repair PLCs and control systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Perform boiler chemical and wastewater testing and adjust as needed.
• Conduct daily/weekly boiler safety checks and repairs.
• Inspect and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts.
• Utilize a CMMS.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
