Job summary

Related Affordable Housing is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for Columbus Square in North Hills, CA. You will perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs to keep buildings and grounds safe and inviting, while supporting residents and a on-site team.

You'll ensure units are ready for occupancy, handle on-call rotations, and contribute to a robust preventive maintenance program within an expanding affordable-housing portfolio.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in general maintenance or related field.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
• Must participate in emergency on-call rotation.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure their needs are met.
• Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
• Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues immediately with management.
• Conduct advanced routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance staff as needed.
• Inspect property and address maintenance concerns proactively.
• Assist in emergency repairs as directed by supervisors and rotate on-call for emergency maintenance.
• Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report any shortages.
• Other duties as assigned
