Related Affordable is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician II to keep our buildings safe, functional, and inviting for residents in Dayton, Ohio. You will handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general upkeep while supporting a resident‑centered environment.

The role offers on-site work, on-call rotation, and opportunities to mentor junior staff. Candidates should have 2+ years in maintenance and a proactive, quality‑driven mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of general maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
• Affordable housing experience is a plus.
• Must be able to participate in the emergency on-call rotation.
• Demonstrates accountability and reliability with attention to detail.
• Willingness to embrace feedback and collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents.
• Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
• Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds for safety issues.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs as needed.
• Maintenance of common areas and grounds.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance staff as needed.
• Assist in emergency repairs and rotate on-call for emergencies.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and report shortages.
• Other duties as assigned.
