Related Affordable is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to keep our properties safe, functional, and inviting. You’ll handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety for residents.

You will inspect systems, prepare units for occupancy, and mentor junior staff. On-call duties and teamwork are essential as you contribute to a thriving affordable-housing community.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in general maintenance or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
• Affordable housing experience is a plus.
• Must be able to participate in the emergency on-call rotation as needed.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Demonstrates accountability and reliability with attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure needs are met.
• Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
• Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues with management.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance staff as needed.
• Inspect property and address maintenance concerns proactively.
• Assist in emergency repairs and rotate on-call for emergency maintenance.
• Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report shortages.
• Other duties as assigned
