Related Affordable is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for Columbus Square in North Hills, CA. The role covers plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks to keep buildings safe, functional, and inviting for residents.

You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, coordinate with residents, and participate in emergency on-call rotations. Excellent teamwork and a focus on high-quality service are essential in this on-site position.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in general maintenance or related field.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
• Affordable housing experience is a plus.
• Must be able to participate in the emergency on-call rotation as needed.
• Dedicated to exceeding expectations by providing exceptional service.
• Accountability, reliability, and proactive problem-solving with a resident-centered approach.
• Willingness to embrace feedback and continuously improve.
• Strong belief in teamwork and collaboration.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure their needs are met.
• Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
• Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues immediately with management.
• Conduct advanced routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance staff as needed.
• Inspect property and address maintenance concerns proactively.
• Assist in emergency repairs as directed by supervisors and rotate on-call for emergency maintenance.
• Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report any shortages.
• Other duties as assigned
