Related Affordable in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to service and maintain our affordable housing properties. You will handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks, ensuring safety and quality for residents.

You’ll work with a team, participate in on-call rotations, and mentor junior staff as needed. The role offers on-site work, paid time off, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in general maintenance or related field.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
• Affordable housing experience is a plus.
• Schedule flexibility including weekends to meet property maintenance demands.
• Must participate in emergency on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure their needs are met.
• Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
• Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues immediately with management.
• Conduct advanced routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance staff as needed.
• Inspect property and address maintenance concerns proactively.
• Assist in emergency repairs and rotate on-call for emergency maintenance.
• Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report shortages.
