Job summary

Main Street Renewal in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to respond to and repair resident property issues across the branch city market in a full‑time role. You will review daily work orders, manage supplies, perform HVAC/electrical/plumbing/carpentry tasks, document work with photos, and strive toward leading a maintenance team while delivering excellent resident service.

The role requires a HS diploma, valid driver’s license, and 2–3 years of experience in property

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED.
• Service-minded approach to all aspects of the job.
• 2-3 years of prior maintenance experience, including at least 1 year with a single-family or multi-family property management company.
• Vocational or technical training and/or college considered a plus.
• Basic knowledge of building and property management codes.
• Comfortable with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, lock-key, and general household repairs.
• One or more of HVAC, plumbing, electrical certifications preferred.
• Good communication and written skills.
• Excellent organizational and customer-service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a company vehicle.
• Minimum 21 years of age and ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling daily tasks and communicating with residents about expected arrival times.
• Completing all requested property maintenance within Main Street Renewal SLA turn‑around times, covering property walks, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, carpentry, and external repairs.
• Closing out work orders in a timely manner, documenting work by taking before and after photos.
• Tracking supplies and tool usage for restocking and servicing.
• Performing rekeying and other securing work for property condition management.
• Conducting pre‑move‑in audits and repairs to ensure a smooth move‑in experience.
• Providing exceptional customer service to residents and assisting peers as needed.
• Maintaining fundamental knowledge of the business and seeking growth to become a Maintenance Technician Lead.
• Completing other duties as assigned.
