Job summary

Cedar Community in Wisconsin is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician II to keep our buildings, equipment, and facilities in reliable working order. You will troubleshoot, perform repairs, and carry out preventive maintenance on systems and resident care equipment.

This full-time role runs 3:30pm–12:00am with occasional on-call responsibilities and a focus on safety, quality, and timely response to work orders, contributing to a safe, comfortable living environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• One to two years of building maintenance, facilities maintenance, equipment repair, or related experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of building systems, general repairs, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and safely use common hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• General Maintenance & Repairs – Troubleshoot, repair, and replace building fixtures, equipment, lighting, and other components using hand and power tools.
• Preventive Maintenance – Perform routine maintenance on building systems, mechanical equipment, and resident care equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Work Orders & Troubleshooting – Respond to maintenance requests, diagnose problems, complete repairs, and document completed work.
• Building Systems & Equipment – Maintain water systems, including softeners and pressure tanks, and repair equipment such as hospital beds, wheelchairs, and specialized tubs.
