Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician III in Salt Lake City to support the upkeep of material handling systems. You will perform preventative and predictive maintenance, diagnose electrical, mechanical, and PLC-related issues, and repair components to keep operations running efficiently.

Responsibilities include interpreting schematics, entering data into EAM, and sometimes guiding junior technicians.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Certificates in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics, electrical or mechanical trade or related area and an associate degree in a related area preferred.
Two (2) years experience in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics with competency in at least two specialty skills in mechanical power transmission, electrical, or PLC/Controls, with basic welding/fabrication skills required.
Related military experience will be considered.
In lieu of experience, an associate degree in an Industrial Maintenance/electrical/mechanical trade or related certificates or other degrees may be considered equivalent.

Responsibilities

Provide preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of material handling systems.
Interpret electrical or mechanical schematics, manuals and specifications to diagnose faults or determine escalation.
Respond to sort calls to diagnose problems and make repairs.
Utilize Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software to enter and retrieve data.
Read PLCs online and burn EEPROMs when required.
May assist lower level technicians and develop scopes of work for small projects.
May work flexible schedule to meet business needs.
